Commercial HPWH Systems for Multifamily Housing

This course provides a foundation for implementing commercial heat pump water heater systems in multifamily settings. In addition to identifying code, policy, and economic measures instrumental to change, this course also explores the fundamental products, practices, and implementation of commercial heat pump water heater systems. It will discuss essential design considerations and explore case studies of successful systems. Audience: This class is intended for engineers, architects, designers, building owners/managers, and maintenance personnel. Learning Objectives:
• Identify national, state, and local codes and policies that are driving change
• Understand the unique value proposition of CHPWH systems • Review market language, product delivery, and available heat pump technology.
• Discuss the fundamentals of heat pump water heaters and commercial system design
• Learn how to use Ecotope’s free sizing tool: Ecosizer • Explore case studies featuring successful implementation.
